What If You Were Chosen?
What if you were chosen? What if God had picked you to be among the first to fully enlighten? What if you were being called upon by the Divine to help bring more light into this world? How would your life change? How would your priorities change? How would that make you feel? Let's have some fun with this: Imagine God, metaphorically looking like Michelangelo's depiction of our creator painted on the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican (like the cover of Looking for God), came to you and asked you to serve "Him" by helping your fellow human beings…your spiritual brothers and sisters…to enlighten. Add some bright light, some thunder from the heavens and maybe an angel or two. Would that get your attention? Would that move you to take action?
If you are reading this God has reached out to you. The very volition to read this is evidence that the Holy Spirit is moving through you; you are being guided to find the information that will spark from within you what you already innately know. No doubt you recognize that you are being guided, but to what end? No doubt you recognize that you have raised your consciousness and enlightened to some degree already, or you wouldn't be compelled to read inspirational essays such as this. Something within you is guiding you, God is guiding you. But do you see what it's leading to?
The Self Awareness Institute is a gathering place for people enlightening from all over the world. We have a mission, and you play an important part by bringing more light into this world wherever you happen to be. Your body and mind serve to conduct higher consciousness. You are here to raise the consciousness of the planet through what you think, and say, and do. Spirit is using you to conduct higher consciousness and your purpose is to share that light with everyone you see, everywhere you go, all the time, every day. You are part of the critical mass that is forming to awaken the collective consciousness of the planet so we can all live together in happiness and peace.
How does it make you feel thinking about this? Does it feel right? Is it true for you? If it does, and if it is, then I want to invite you to get real with your practice. Take your spiritual evolution to the next level, re-dedicate and re-commit yourself to your practice - deepen your meditation and experience the miracle being given to you. Think of your meditation as a date with the Divine. Commit to your Creator with the same sincerity and love as if you had married your beloved.
